A huge part of how we feel has to do with the people we surround ourselves with. This means the people at work, in our homes and most importantly, ourselves. Yes YOU. What you do, how you think and the things you open yourself to have a powerful influence on how you feel on a daily basis. So before getting into things you need to remove from your life, let's talk about things we need to rid ourselves of.
The Things You Think About
What do you find yourself thinking about on a daily basis? You literally become your thoughts. We often hear the mantra "think positively, think positively!" but that happens when we are able to control our minds. Think well of yourself, not in a superficial way but think about the good that you have done or plan to do.
Your thoughts about others matters too. What you wish for other people is what you wish for yourself. So stop hoping for your supervisor to get fired or for the flowers at the house next-door to die because they outshine yours every year. Nip them in the bud before they spread. Do not become consumed by your own negative thoughts but learn to control them.
Don't allow yourself to think about the things you don't want or make manifest in your life.
The Things You Talk About
What is your language like? How do you use words? Words are powerful vibrations and even if they seem to have become meaningless it is definitely not true. If someone walks up to you and tells you that you're beautiful or they have ten thousand dollars to give to you, isn't that meaningful? When you open your mouth to speak, do so only to say something good, criticize constructively and offer your kindest regards. Say what you mean and mean what you say.
Get out of the "i will" mentality and start writing down how you will get it done. Some of us become lazy and lose our enthusiasm by doing this. Saying "I will buy a car" does not get you a car. Instead start writing down how much you need for the down payment, the type of car, the insurance plan you will choose, where you plan to get your car serviced etc. Prepare yourself and by doing so you allow yourself to receive what you want. It is active visualization.
It is not necessary to talk about your plans. You don't need to tell Bill that you're thinking about buying a house or going to school for a degree. People's energy can sometimes create the wrong energy that literally stops your progress.
Talk about about the things that reflect who you are and things you want in your life.
The Things You Do
Practice kindness. We want to be described a particular way but never do any of the things people say. Be calm and don't become agitated. Your approach to things matters. Cursing, honking your horn and shouting will not make the cars in-front of you go faster. Add some magnesium to your diet to help you to stay calm.
Get rid of the "I shouldn't have" or "I should have" moments and focus on saying "I did" or at least "I'm doing." Stop doubting yourself and filling yourself with regret. If you are alive today that means you have the opportunity to do something.
Don't tell people your plans, show them the results. Saying you will do something is not as great as showing that you have done something. Nothing is more powerful than putting your thoughts and what you say into action. That's why your thoughts are so important.
Let go of the things that no longer serve you. Do the things that are aimed at growing you and improving the situation around you.
“Good vibes starts with YOU. How you think, how you speak and what you do affects how you feel directly. Your circle and everything else is secondary”
Once You Know What You Want Other Things Become Secondary
You now know who you are and what you want to do so ask yourself:
Do the people in your circle support these goals?
Is it reflected in their language and actions?
What is their language like? How do they use words?
Words are powerful vibrations and even if they seem to have become meaningless it is definitely not true. If someone walks up to you and tells you that you're beautiful or they have ten thousand dollars to give to you, isn't that meaningful? Surround yourself with like-minded people that give off positive energy that increases your drive.
What about those people or situations that seem to push us to be bitter or negative?
They are out there but we don't need to give them power and if we can't respond in a way that reflects who we are then we have not mastered our thoughts. At times we have to choose to be right or kind. Again, it comes back to control. By controlling our thoughts, we control our words and actions. There is nothing more rewarding than knowing that you can control how you feel and what you do. Consider them small victories when you choose not to respond to negativity or turn the bad into good.
Creating good vibes within yourself secures a happy life.
Flourish. Simply flourish.
