Your Health, Your Wealth- Sweet Fishy Goodness
Yes, as you can see I am experiencing a bit of a seafood frenzy but why not? Fish is not only delicious but it is quite healthy, with all of those omega fatty acids. Yes, it helps in brain development, heart health; Not to mention skin, hair and nails. This is what I would describe as a "feel good, look good" type of food. For this meal I have chosen salmon. Wild caught pink salmon to be specific, paired with cooked ripe plantain and spinach-cabbage salad.
To make this healthy and tasty meal here is exactly what you will need and how to prepare it. Of course you can add your own spin to it but just ensure you don't go overboard with your portion size. All good things must be had in moderation.
Wild caught Pink Salmon fillet
Seasonings (chopped bell peppers, onion, garlic, green onions, thyme)
Kosher salt/regular salt/ your favorite fish seasoning
Ground black pepper
Cayenne pepper
Ripe plantains
Fresh spinach
Purple cabbage
Extra virgin olive oil (optional)
You simply will need to watch your salmon in vinegar and water. Dry using paper towel and then add your seasonings. Usually I add black pepper, kosher salt etc., to both sides before adding the chopped seasonings. After that, I drizzle a little bit of extra virgin olive oil on top then cover with a foil paper and bake in the over for about 30-45 minutes at 350 degrees Fahrenheit. I then remove the foil paper and let the salmon cook for another 10 minutes and i'm done! In that time I normally cook the ripe plantains and prepare my salad.
