The Three Basic Steps For Writing Excellent Essays
I thought I would share some tips for helping online students to write and structure their essays. During my years of undergraduate studies, I had to write scores of academic papers. Developing a simple go-to essay writing method/structure helped tremendously. I use this same method when writing for clients, writing academic papers or on my blog. It is a basic format but can be used in any form of academic essay writing to get your points across and maximize the number of points you score. Ensure that you proofread, check your grammar and spelling using Grammarly or any other tool of your choise.
Your Introduction
Whether you are reviewing a case study, writing a report or just writing a regular academic paper, you must include an introduction.
An introduction presents the key points that you will be discussing and in the case of writing academic papers, it has to at least talk about the unit topic.
Ensure that it is to the point without going into details. After all, the whole idea of an introduction is to introduce the topic.
This can be done in one paragraph, which is as little as four complete sentences.
The Body
The body of your essay is the most important part as this is where your arguments are developed and your key points are presented.
This section also provides insight into which stance/side you will take and must be supported by relevant sources.
Find three key points to argue and make sure that each point is well supported.
Each key point should be a separate paragraph to itself that expounds on a particular point and goes into fine details.
Your Conclusion
This is where you summarize your key points and provide a possible solution if necessary. A conclusion ties your introduction, key arguments, and your own deductions together. For simple essays, especially for undergraduate's it usually is just one paragraph.
I hope these tips will be helpful to someone. If you would like for me to go into further details or provide examples of academic essay writing then I would be happy to. Studying online can be a challenge but if we are well prepared and seek help when necessary, then it makes the challenge seem less daunting.
